JAN 2022 EXAMS

After yet another summer of fantastic results we prepare for the January 2022 exams.

Exam dates can be found here.

MARKED WORK

As you’re not following the timetable here are a few suggested deadlines to ensure you’re exam ready. Double scientists you need to look at the biology, chemistry and physics columns.

We aim to mark at least every fortnight regardless of deadlines. The full mock exam will be open to you from October 2nd when the Autumn exam sitters will have handed in theirs.

PAST PAPERS

Don’t underestimate the importance of past papers. Ideally leave at least 2 months for these (meaning you finish the course, including practical tests, by roughly November 1st). Memorising the course is step 1, but students really see their level shoot up with past paper completion.

Aim to complete as many as you can! Every year questions are recycled from as far back as 2012.

PHYSICISTS ...

We know some of you struggled with momentum and moments from term 1.

We have updated our lessons to hopefully improve your understanding. If you need to work on these please try lesson 11, 12 and 13. You won’t be tested on these until your second real exam so you have time.

TUTOR SUPPORT

We are streamlining our communication ports to be more inclusive to all students and guardians. We are moving all communication to email and the website.  If you are in a Facebook group already you can still use this, but you’re welcome to use the new features below if you prefer.

WHAT HAPPENS IF EXAMS ARE CANCELLED AGAIN?

In the event exams are cancelled and a predicted grade is required, we will be running a live online invigilated exam (similar to what we did this year). Please prepare for an exam regardless of what happens with covid.
