The past few months have been a whirlwind to say the least.
I have always tried to mark work submitted right up to the day of the exam, but
unfortunately I am going to have to put in place some ultimate deadlines which cannot be
broken. I’ve thought long and hard about this. The purpose is to protect my mental and physical health, ensure student’s work is marked promptly, maintain low prices for you and ensure other student's needs are met, especially those who work hard to be prepared.
Random past papers, various file types, 6 months of marked work in a week etc is extremely time consuming to mark and this year I found myself up till 4am many many nights. As much as I desperately want to accommodate people, I don't want this to have an adverse affect on students who hand in the correct work in a timely fashion.
Please find final and non-negotiable deadlines for marked work below. These dates will be the last time I mark the piece before the real exams. They are well in the future to give you time to prepare. Try not to be anxious submitting work. I promise I only ever have your best interests at heart and always strive for kind and personalised feedback.
You may notice I have changed the name of the end of year exam to a ‘teacher assessed predicted grade’ or TAG. Many of our students do not take two years to complete any more and so the old name became inappropriate. The TAG is the first accurate indication of the IGCSE level you are working at.
